You all know that Tiffany & Co sells amazing engagement rings. This is never the question when it comes to Tiffany. As you can see in our Review of this iconic store,

https://www.diamonds.pro/reviews/tiffany-and-co/

we absolutely love their product.

The only question about Tiffany is: is it worth it?

We asked some regular people hanging out in a cafe if they could tell the difference between a Tiffany 0.50 carat I Color VVS2 round diamond solitaire and 2 separate rings from Blue Nile.

(See our review of Blue Nile here: https://www.diamonds.pro/reviews/blue-nile/)

The first ring we compared from Blue Nile was virtually identical in specs (Round, Ideal Cut, I Color, VVS2 Clarity set in a “knife edge” platinum setting).

The Tiffany & Co ring cost $4500 while the Blue Nile ring cost $1800. That’s a whopping 60% less!

Next, we compared the Tiffany ring to a larger Blue Nile ring with specs that we recommend. It’s a 1 carat I Color SI1 Clarity Ideal Cut round diamond set in a 14kt white gold setting of the same style.

The Blue Nile ring cost only $4,300, even though it was double the size.

At The Diamond Pro, we have turned the diamond industry upside down by exposing the tactics that jewelers use to inflate the price of engagement rings. Are you looking for the best place to buy your engagement ring? We have spent years going undercover to provide you with honest and unbiased reviews of diamond retailers.

After reviewing all of the most popular diamond retailers we have found the best overall experiences buying diamonds online with James Allen and Blue Nile.

To the naked eye to people who don’t always see diamonds; everything looks the same. Not valid.

You want a good diamond? Buy them loose and get them mounted. Check out Whiteflash.com and/or hpdiamonds.com. No, I’m not an employee. I bought from both of them. You can’t go wrong with either one. Both have great reviews.

What are your thoughts on blue Nile vs. James Allen? Do you prefer one company over the other?

Mark says:

DIAMOND PRO IS A SCHILL GETTING PAID BY JAMES ALLEN AND BLUE NILE. TRY TO SELL YOUR BLUE NILE RING NOBODY WANTS IT AND YOUR LUCKY TO GET 10%-20%. TIFFANY EVERYBODY WILL TRY TO BUY IT AND FOR CLOSE TO WHAT YOU PAID. ON LINE COMPANIES SELL THE DIAMONDS WHOLESALERS CANT SELL(JUST LOOK AT THE CERTS ALL THE FLAWS ARE IN THE MIDDLE) THEY SEND A LIST BLUE NILE OWNS NONE OF THE DIAMONDS THEY SELL .TIFFANY BUYERS GET FIRST CHOICE AND ARE THE MOST DISCRIMINATING BUYERS,AND PAY CASH NO MEMO.
